Held within our working lab nestled in The Secret Walled Garden, Monmouth, Wales, we offer the opportunity to craft your very own signature scent. Throughout the workshop, delve into the intricacies of scent and learn to design fragrances that evoke cherished memories. Whether you opt for a fragrance, candle, diffuser, or delve into an in-depth perfumery masterclass, there's a workshop tailored to your preferences.

Our Wales Perfumery lab is situated within The Secret Walled Garden, surrounded by picturesque rolling hills and home to charming boutique glamping pods. Not only will you depart with your bespoke creation, but you'll also enjoy the beauty of this tranquil corner of Wales.

Whether you join as an individual, book for a group, arrange a corporate team-building session, opt for a private 1:1 workshop, or seek a unique fragrance experience for your wedding day, there's a workshop perfectly suited to you.

Bespoke Perfume Creation Experience:
Step into the shoes of a perfumer as you embark on a journey through top, middle, and base notes. Engage your senses by sampling each material using scent strips, carefully considering the scents that resonate with your memories. Select your favourites, and from these, a bespoke formula will be crafted. Then, under expert guidance, blend the raw materials to create your very own 30ml bottle of fragrance, personalised with the name of your creation.
This workshop lasts 1 hour 15 mins
Tea, coffee, and Welsh cakes will be provided.

Bespoke combined Home Fragrance Creation Workshop:
Indulge your senses in the art of crafting personalized room fragrances at our exclusive Bespoke Home Fragrance Creation Workshop, nestled in the picturesque surrounds of The Wye Valley in Monmouthshire.
In this engaging session, delve into the rich history of fragrance making and unravel the fascinating dynamics of how scents interact with wax and the reeds, leaving your space enveloped in a subtly captivating fragrance. Our workshop guides you through the exploration of various raw materials, allowing you to grasp the intricacies of scent composition.

Armed with a specially crafted workshop booklet, you'll have the opportunity to handpick your favourite scents from a curated selection. With expert guidance, you will blend these chosen fragrances to concoct a personalized room diffuser and a candle. Your final creations will be housed in an elegant 100ml amber glass bottle with reeds and a 180ml amber glass apothecary candle, ready to co-ordinate your home fragrance. Embark on a sensory adventure and take home not just a bespoke room diffuser and candle but a cherished memory of crafting your unique olfactory masterpiece in the heart of the idyllic Wye Valley.

Perfumery Masterclass:
At Wales Perfumery our Perfumer will help you identify and combine materials to create your signature scent. A fragrance unique to you. Step through The Secret Walled Garden and into our working perfumery, with views of the beautiful garden, Wye Valley and beyond.

During the session you’ll learn about the history of perfumery and discover how scent actually works. We’ll explore thirty-five quality raw materials, and you’ll get to choose your favourites. A bespoke formula will be created by Perfumer Louise Smith from your choices, and you’ll then blend the ingredients to make your own 50ml bottle of fragrance to take away with you.
This workshop lasts 2 hour

Bespoke Candle Creation Workshop:
Indulge your senses in the art of crafting personalized scent candles at our exclusive Bespoke Candle Creation Workshop, nestled in the picturesque surrounds of The Wye Valley in Monmouthshire.
During the session you’ll learn about the history of candle making and discover how scent actually works within the wax. Our workshop guides you through the exploration of various raw materials, allowing you to grasp the intricacies of scent composition. You’ll choose your favourite scents which you'll then blend to create your own 180ml amber apothecary candle to take away with you. The 180ml candle has a burn time of 35 hours!
This workshop lasts 1 hour 30 mins

Bespoke Diffuser Creation Workshop:
Indulge your senses in the art of crafting a personalized room fragrance diffuser at our exclusive Bespoke Diffuser Creation Workshop, nestled in the picturesque surrounds of The Wye Valley in Monmouthshire.
During the session you will learn about diffuser making and discover how scent actually works with the reeds to emit a beautiful subtle home fragrance. Our workshop guides you through the exploration of various raw materials, allowing you to grasp the intricacies of scent composition. You’ll choose your favourite scents which you'll then blend to create your own diffuser in a 100ml amber glass apothecary to take away with you.
This workshop lasts 1 hour 30 mins
